Wait Expectantly

S: “O LORD, hear me as I pray; pay attention to my groaning. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for I pray to no one but you. Listen to my voice in the morning, LORD. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.” Psalms 5:1-3 NLT

O: This verse stuck out to me right away but I wasn't going to chose it because it said, "expectantly." In marriage they tell you not to expect things from your spouse but to live in anticipation. We usually have a high level of expectation from our spouses or for people in general. However, when going over this verse, I was doing the former, why would I pray and expect something from God, I'm not suppose to live in expectation. I realized that it's different, I can have a high level of expectation from God, he has never failed me. Waiting expectantly is given faith to my request.

A: I know God hears me as I pray. I know without a shadow of doubt he pays attention to my every groan, whimper or cry. He listens and is excited with me and celebrates with me. Oh what a king, oh what a God! He alone I pray to and long to be in his presence. Every morning he here's my voice and is delighted to hear from me. Every day I bring request to God, it would be foolish of me to not wait, delay action, expectantly, look forward to. My problem is that I over analyze everything instead of delaying my response to everything and look forward to Gods answer to make sure I am in alignment with his plan. That is what made David a man after God's heart, he was aligned with God.

P: I don't know if it's possible, great and mighty God to be a woman after your own heart in this day and age. You are magnificent and holy! Your kingdom is here, your will for me is to help build it. Daily I pray never have I prayed expecting. My subconscious and I forgive myself for living in fear and doubting you as I pray. Deliver me from not having full trust in you. You are amazing God. Fill me up with more of you. I wait in expectation of my dreams becoming reality in Jesus name, amen
