Ask

S: “One day news came to David that the Philistines were at Keilah stealing grain from the threshing floors. David asked the LORD, “Should I go and attack them?” “Yes, go and save Keilah,” the LORD told him. But David’s men said, “We’re afraid even here in Judah. We certainly don’t want to go to Keilah to fight the whole Philistine army!” So David asked the LORD again, and again the LORD replied, “Go down to Keilah, for I will help you conquer the Philistines.”” 1 Samuel 23:1-4 NLT

O: Before any type of response David stopped and asked God. After telling his men and his men doubting themselves David goes back to God and asks again. In both asking, God has an immediate response, yes go, I will help you conquer!

A: When I'm unsure, asking Gid should be my first response. Even in doubt or feeling inadequate asking God will reassure me or provide clarity that only God can give. He longs to hear my voice. It is by hearing my voice that makes faith happen.

P: I understand my God how faith is impossible without works. For me that work is using my voice to help others experience victory. God I'm afarid I'm not as deep as I think I am. What if I fail? What if I mumble or stumble? What if I'm really not good enough? I have faith that you a brought me here. You have opened these doors for me and have sent people to help me along in the journey. I don't want to disappoint them, I don't want to disappoint you. Give me the confidence and courage needed to truly make my dream a reality. You are my joy! I will never cease to obey your command. I love you and I praise you. In Jesus name, amen!
