Choose to Love

- Love doesn't just happen to you. Love is a choice and it represents a commitment.

- There's no doubt about it, attraction is uncontrollable and arousal is uncontrollable. But attraction and arousal are not love. They can lead to love, but they are not love. Love is a choice. 

- You must choose to love God; he won't force you to love him (Deuteronomy 30:20).

- you can choose to love others, but God won't force you to love anyone.

- You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the LORD, you will live long in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” (Deuteronomy 30:20 NLT)

S: But Ruth replied, “Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. Wherever you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the LORD punish me severely if I allow anything but death to separate us!” (Ruth 1:16-17 NLT)

But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:23-24 NLT)

Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.

Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him. (Psalms 105:1, 4 NLT)

O: The choice to love is to choose to be committed. Ruth was committed to Naomi. Ruth declared her choose to love Naomi by saying, "Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. Wherever you die, I will die, and there I will be buried." Even to death Ruth was committed. 

A: I must choose to love God and be commuted to his until death. The time is now, right now to worship in spirit and truth! God no longer has to search, I will worship him in spirit and in truth. 

 

P: For you are great my God almighty! You are worthy of all the honor and deserve all the praise. I proclaim that you are great! I declare to you my Lord my love. I choose to love you and am committed to your will. No more putting my faith into man and not giving you all the control! Take my life and let be all for you and for your glory. Here's my life, it is yours. In every speech, every Sunday, every growth track, every opportunity I will declare our love!!!! I will never cease to search for you and to yearn for your strength. I will continually seek you oh Heavenly Father. I will worship you in spirit and truth for the rest of my days. In Jesus name I committed to you by choosing love. Amen.
