Love Regardless

we love them regardless of their response to our efforts to change them.

something in return. (You can tell when it’s not really love you’re giving if you begin to withhold it because you don’t think the response is good enough.)

Jesus emptied himself in order to love imperfect responders. That’s real love.

- only the Holy Spirit can change your (spouses) heart. So we love, we encourage, and repeatedly we turn our (spouse) over to Christ because he can change their heart. He can move in them. He can do things that we can’t.

* Have you ever fallen into the trap of leverage? Do you turn your spouse over to Christ, knowing only He can change him/her? Do you realize that He loves your spouse more than even you?

A: I have fallen into the trap of leverage. I believe I did last week in fact or maybe Valentines week. Anyway, I expected a gift or appreciation in return of the gifts I gave to him. I rarely turn John over to Christ. And when I do it's not in knowing only Christ can change him. It's more of God give him discernment and wisdom over the situation. I do realize Christ loves John more than I love John.

S: The LORD of Heaven’s Armies says to the priests: “A son honors his father, and a servant respects his master. If I am your father and master, where are the honor and respect I deserve? You have shown contempt for my name! (Malachi 1:6 NLT)

“But you dishonor my name with your actions. You say, ‘It’s too hard to serve the LORD,’ and you turn up your noses at my commands,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. (Malachi 1:12a-13a NLT)

Listen to me and make up your minds to honor my name,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies,  (Malachi 2:2a NLT)

They passed on to the people the truth of the instructions they received from me. They did not lie or cheat; they walked with me, living good and righteous lives, and they turned many from lives of sin. “The words of a priest’s lips should preserve knowledge of God, and people should go to him for instruction, for the priest is the messenger of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. (Malachi 2:6-7 NLT)

Didn’t the LORD make you one with your wife? In body and spirit you are his. And what does he want? Godly children from your union. So guard your heart; remain loyal to the wife of your youth. (Malachi 2:15 NLT)

All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children. (Revelation 21:7 NLT)

Her husband can trust her, and she will greatly enrich his life. (Proverbs 31:11 NLT)

She is energetic and strong, a hard worker. (Proverbs 31:17 NLT)

O: When I make the decision to walk in defeat I also make the decision to show contempt toward God. I allowed myself to not trust him by not going to him with my burdens. Therefore I dishonor and dis respect his name. My actions certainly reflect the dishonor. I sloth fully lay around the house and complain about who he has created me to be. I whine about hating my life and how hard it is to manage all the things he has blessed me with. It's time to make up my mind and make a decision to fully follow God even in the mist of despair. If I continue to have days like yesterday, I stay stuck in bad habits instead of walking and trusting in Gods truth. 

A: God has called me to be a communicator of the gospel with the gift of public speaking. I am called to be a professional speaker of the truth. Therefore I must walk closely with God and live according to his instructions. I am in no way a priest, but I am a messenger of the gospel and people will come to me for godly instruction. 

Again, reassurance. God has brought John and I together. We are one in body and spirit. God brought Kamea to John and I that we may raise godly children. I must guard my heart against the enemy who continues to get in my head and succeed at convincing me that I am not the person for this job. I need to remain loyal to John and Kamea.

P: You have won the victory! You have given me victory! You have blessed all those who have experienced victory! You are our God!!!! We are your children!!!! My husband can trust me to greatly enrich his life because I am victorious! I am energetic. I am strong. I am victory!!!! May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing unto you. Hallelujah, you have won the victory! Hallelujah, you have won it all for me! Death could not hold you down. You are the risen King! Seated on majesty. You are the Risen King!!!!
